New PR firm, Mirza Public Relations, focuses on improving U.S.-Muslim relations

New Washington-based PR group Mirza Public Relations (Mirza PR) is a full-service public relations firm comprised of communications specialists with roots in the American Muslim community. Launched in January 2008, the goal of the firm is to help advance efforts to challenge stereotypes about Muslims, and to promote interfaith dialogue and understanding among people of different faiths.

“American Muslims have long been part of the fabric of this great society,” said Rabiah Ahmed, CEO of Mirza PR. “Like others, they have made many positive contributions to society and have interesting stories to tell. We believe that by sharing their experiences, we can help balance perceptions of them in the public consciousness while increasing understanding between the world’s spiritual and cultural traditions.”
