Mosque’s 1st female leader tackles stereotypes

A mosque in Toledo has elected a female president, Salmenna Sediqe, the first women in its thirty-year history to hold such a position. Mrs. Sediqe does not view her election as a landmark, but says the election may help change some negative stereotypes among non-Muslims.
