More than twenty French imams urged their parishioners to vote in the presidential elections on April 22^nd and May 6^th to become “actors in their own change.” In one example, the Suburb Independent Front (le Front des banlieues independent) asked the thousands of Muslims gathered at a mosque in La Defense to vote for François Hollande as the most “useful vote.”
