A little 12 year old girl of Senegalese descent was flogged and beaten by her father because she wanted to live like her friends and classmates. The story has been confirmed, emerging because the child was hospitalized. Healthcare workers inquired about the bruises and wounds on her body which she told them that her father had beat her. The police were called immediately; and the father admitted his guilt, meanwhile his daughter was put in a protection program.
