Paris attacks: heinous crimes condemned by Muslim scholars

The International Union of Muslim Scholars (UISM) “firmly” condemned the “criminal and terrorist acts” that occurred in Paris on November 13. Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, who learned of the events with “great sadness and chagrin,” heads the institution.

He called for “pursuing those responsible, no matter who they are, and bringing them to justice to punish them for the heinous crimes they committed,” reminding of the “gravity of the crime of killing” in Islam.

The UISM confirms that such acts of terror are not acceptabed, “by any divine religion, by any enlightened conscience, or by any morals, and are considered hostile acts toward all of humanity.” Al-Qaradawi presented his “condolences and sympathies to the French Republic, the people, government, and organizations. As well as sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the innocent victims.”
