In the city of Alba, Hina Saleem will be remembered in afternoon of Arab and Italian poetry readings and music. Hina was murdered last year by her father in an ‘honour killing,’ in the northern Italian town of Sarezzo. Leaders of Muslim women’s groups in Italy, Arab female poets, ordinary citizens and immigrants are expected to gather in early November to remember the young girl.
