Denmark: Denmark/Saudi Arabia: New Boycott against Danish goods after cartoon row

A campaign to boycott Danish products is taking hold in Saudi Arabia, after the re-publishing of 12 controversial cartoons depicting the Prophet Muhammad. We will carry out a new boycott said Mohammed Abidat, the president of Arab entrepreneurs. He added that it is imperative that Muslim and Arab trades-people and shopkeepers boycott all Danish products. The Danish government refused to apologize for allowing the re-publishing, saying that the papers have a right to print them. However, the images incited anger and violence from many of those offended by the images of the prophet.
