“Arabesque: Arts of the Arab World” bridges US-Arab gap

A festival bringing knowledge, art, and understanding about the Arab world will take place at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Arts from February 23-March 15th, and is being cited as a groundbreaking event in the United States. The festival, titled “Arabesque: Arts of the Arab World” is the first event of its size and nature taking place in America, celebrating Arab culture.

The $10 million event is the largest presentation of Arab arts ever presented in the US, and will feature more than 800 Arab artists from 22 countries. Arabesque, which was four years in the making, will also include free performances, poetry readings, films, and exhibits.
