Two new mosques to be erected in the 18th District of Paris in 2012 and 2013

Two new Islamic cultural sites which include mosques have received approval to be built in the 18th district of Paris. The two mosques will accommodate 1000 people each and should open to the public by 2012 and 2013.

The project was spurred by the Institut des cultures d’Islam (ICI or the Institute of Islamic Cultures). Construction plans are currently on display at the Pavillon de l’Arsenal until the end of March 2009.
