Jacob Lypp

After a BA in politics and international relations from the University of Cambridge and a year of graduate studies at Harvard University, Jacob is currently pursuing a dual master’s degree in political science at Sciences Po Paris and the Free University of Berlin. His areas of expertise straddle the domains of political theory, religious studies, and the study of the contemporary Middle East. He is particularly interested in theories of secularisation and secularism, the interaction between religion and politics in the Middle East (including issues of Islamism and jihadism), and the political and institutional governance of state-Islam relations in Europe. For Euro-Islam, Jacob is responsible for news and research on developments in Germany.
