Dutch Film Directors’ Murderer Included in Al-Qaeda Video

June 4 2011 De Telegraaf reports that a video clip released by as-Sahab, al-Qaeda’s media branch, has featured an image of Mohammed Bouyeri, who killed Dutch film director Theo van Gogh in 2004. His inclusion is unusual in a video which otherwise focuses on depictions of senior al-Qaeda leaders.

Dutch Politician’s Trial Closes

June 1 2011 The trial for MP Geert Wilders on charges of discrimination and inciting hatred against Muslims closed in Amsterdam. The court’s decision will be announced on 23 June. In his closing statement Wilders said that ‘freedom of expression’ was also on trial in the case.
