Ada Mullol i Marin

Ada Mullol is a journalist and researcher specialised in the Arab world and International Relations. She holds a Master in Arab Studies from Georgetown University and a Master in International Relations from the Barcelona Institute of International Studies (IBEI). Ada is currently a Visiting Scholar at the School of Philosophy, Theology and Religion of the University of Birmingham.

Ada has been a Schuman Trainee in the European Parliament, where she focused her research on Middle Eastern and North African countries and their relationship with Europe. She has also been a Research Fellow at the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed) and a Research Assistant at Georgetown University. In addition, Ada has been the Coordinator of a publication on political Islam and has published in several newspapers and magazines as a freelance journalist. She has been awarded with reporting and research fellowships by the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) and the United Nations Foundation, the University of California-Davis (Muslim Women and the Media Training Institute) and the College of Europe.

Her areas of interests include Islam in the West, Islamophobia, human rights, gender issues, Middle Eastern socio-political developments, foreign policies, security, conflict resolution and the role of media. For Euro-Islam, Ada is responsible for news and research on developments in Spain and at European level.
