June 27, 2010 By Mitchell Landsberg The United Methodist Church has lifted sanctions against the Claremont School of Theology, which risked breaking its longstanding ties with the church when it announced plans earlier this year to begin training Muslim imams and Jewish rabbis in addition to Christian pastors.
Bouabdallah Ghlamallah, Algerian minister of Religious Affairs, announced that fifty-two Algerian imams will be sent to France this year for an orientation mission centered on education and culture.
