Nuovi Italiani, Italy’s first party for immigrants, criticized the country’s government for its poor handling of illegal immigration, after the death and drowning of at last 18 would-be migrants in their attempt to reach land. The party’s president, Musapha Mansouri slammed the government’s lack of action in addressing the phenomenon, citing that the Mediterranean is becoming a graveyard for the thousands of poor souls, to the indifference of the country’s institutions.
