The Major of Salt (Girona) has announced a municipal plenary debate to forbid the opening of new places of worship in the city. This measure could be motivated by a demonstration call for the next 27th of August by the xenophobe party “Plataforma per Catalunya” against a new mosque in Salt .
The two Islamic communities of the city bought a place for the construction of a new mosque in the industrial park. This new measure could be problematic for this project and for the construction to other places of worship in the city.
