Five men and one woman were held in Brussels from raids, and police say they believe one of those charged was planning a suicide attack. No information was given concerning target or location. Eight additional persons were held in the recent raids, but a judge decided that there was insufficient evidence to hold them. Belgian authorities declined to reveal the background of those arrested, but said that there was evidence that several of them had spent time in Afghanistan and Pakistan, and had contact with Islamic extremists.
