Muslims in the northern Italian community of Liguria are conducting a summit to discuss key issues which affect the community. An annual summit called For Our Children is held in the city of Genoa, at the Islamic centre of Genoa Pra. The leader of the Muslim community in the region, as well as women’s and youth organizations are expected to be in attendance. “Today’s summit is a sort of congress where families, sons, daughters and also many Italians, can spend one day of the year talking, reflecting, discussing the various problems that affect our community and our future,” said Zahoor Ahmad Zargar, the community’s leader.
