The Mid-Hudson Islamic Association held a prayer service in honor of Mohson Naqvi, a Muslim-American soldier who was killed in Afghanistan Wednesday by a roadside bomb. Naqvi was a charter member of the mosque, and held the title of second lieutenant with the US Army. The 26 year old of Pakistani heritage was among a group of five soldiers killed on Wednesday while on patrol in Afghanistan. Naqvi enrolled in the Army Reserve three days after the September 11th terrorist attacks.
