School for imams with Austrian participation
The Austrian embassy in Ankara has for the first time held a training session for Turkish imams that are to be sent to Austria. Eleven Turkish imams participated in the initiative, which was carried out with the goal of better familiarizing the imams with the Austrian educational system and administrative issues. The two-day long session complements other requirements for the imams, such as a good knowledge of German , willingness for intercultural dialogue, and participation in another similar training program after having arrived in Austria.
