School in Galicia punished a student for wearing the hijab

The primary school Novo CEIP denies the entrance to any student who has their head covered in Arteixo (Galicia, Spain). This rule includes hats, caps and the Islamic veil. A female student, eleven years old, has been recently punished for wearing the Islamic headscarf in this school. As a result she can’t attend to any complementary scholar activities. The girl’s parents are negotiating with the director of the school to change the internal normative for allowing hijab inside the centre.
