The Institut des Ursulines school in Brussels will begin banning the headscarf starting next year. According to the principal, the school is one of the few in Brussels that still permits wearing of the headscarf and thus attracted more and more students donning the garment. The principal also said that 85% of the students in the school are of North African origin, many of which have announced that they will leave the school as a result of the decision. A specific reason for the ban was not cited.
